Our Philosophy
"Spend (in charity) out of the sustenance that We have bestowed on you before that time when death will come to someone, and he shall say: "O my Lord! If only you would grant me reprieve for a little while, then I would give in charity, and be among the righteous." [The Quran, 63:10 ]
With your help, the National Zakat Foundation is seeking to develop a long-term approach to genuinely help some of the major socio-economic challenges, and respond to some of the enormous trials we face as a community.
Giving in charity has to be seen as an investment in your future, an opportunity to win the pleasure of your Lord, and a genuine conduit for the pursuit of righteousness. With this mindset, great things can be achieved and a longer term approach can be taken to increase the self sufficiency of the Muslim population, starting within this country.
In our quest to do this, we are seeking to mature the way the wealth is re-distributed, and move forward with the Sunnah of the Messenger of Allah to stabilise their lives and become sufficiently economically active so that in turn, they can contribute back to society and we would hope the fund too.
